Die niederländische Firma Zuperzozial stellt Bio Geschirr aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen, wie Bambus, Mais und Harz, her. Das gibt es nun auch bei uns zu kaufen. Nicht nur im Internet, sondern zum Beispiel in Würzburg, Erlangen oder auch im Mohrenhaus in Bamberg, kann man eine Auswahl an Produkten erwerben.

Die Produkte sind 100% biologisch abbaubar - zu Hause im Komposter brauchen die Produkte zwischen 12 und 24 Monate. Der Hersteller empfiehlt jedoch sie nicht in die städtische Abfallverwertung (braune Tonne) zu geben, da meistens ein Zeitraum von wenigen Wochen vorgeschrieben ist, in der sich die Bioabfälle zersetzen müssen. Bis dahin nicht vollständig kompostierte Abfälle werden gefiltert und verbrannt (bspw. Nussschalen, eben das Biogeschirr und andere "biologisch abbaubare" Kunststoffe)

Es gibt neben Schüsseln und Lunch Boxen auch Dosen mit Deckel und Coffee-to-go Becher mit Silikon Dichtungen - laut Hersteller ist das Silikon umweltfreundlich und das Produkt 100% biologisch abbaubar.


Meine Frage an Capventure (Zuperzozial):

What do you mean by "eco-friendly silicone"? Is this part of the product also free of any pollutants and softener/plasticizer? What kind of siloxanes (e.g D4, D5, etc.) are used? Where is the silicone produced and where do the resources come from?

Meine 2. Frage an Capventure:

If I take the to-go-mug for example - can I put it into my compost maker at home? Inclusive the lid and silicon ? I was wondering if the whole mug is biodegradable - not only the bamboo-corn-mix.

The To Go Mug is 100% biodegradable and can on the compost pile. This, however, can last for a long time. It is depending on the climate, humidity and the enzymes. Might be 12 to 24 months. You can compare with the digestion of hard nuts caps. The silicone is not 100% degradable. This is without weakners and plasticizers and with the least possible impact.
